Description
(From Wikipedia) There is a story about the pierrot which relates how a small naked boy was found outside the gates of Heaven. It was winter, and as St Peter picked up the child and blessed him, the snow on his body turned into a suit of pure white clothing. St Peter adopted the child and gave him his own name - Little Peter or Pierrot - but there was one condition, Pierrot was not to be allowed to play with any of the human children he might come across as he wandered outside the gates of Paradise. Of course, this was almost impossible for a small boy, and on his return from just such a meeting he realised that his white suit now had black marks on it where the ordinary children had touched him. They proclaimed his guilt, and Pierrot was excluded from Paradise forevermore. Here is my version of the Pierrot, derived from the story and from the pantomime image(the red mouth cut to make it larger, the make up, hair etc). This is an image of a being which once was so pure, so immaculate, that its flesh seared where it was touched by others. And in touching it, they had contaminated it too.Only the pristine whiteness of the hair remained, a vestige of the purity it once had and lost, a mockery of its past.

As I said on DA, very nice painting,

And good story behind it.

Cigaro : I tried to keep it sketchy/blurry on purpose. I have a terrible habit of over-detailing everything and I really want to break away from it.
Diane: I agree, the skull looks a bit small. I think it happened when I added the hair. Must be more careful next time
Kaduflyer: I tried to keep the face a little ambiguous, I didn't want a completely male face. Coz, you know, boys don't cry ,(just kidding). I guess I should have mentioned it in the description eh?
Thanks again !

The ref is a photo I took of a friend. She's not particularly happy with having her image posted online so I stuck another ref (also a pic of a friend) on top.
